The China Laos Railway starts from Kunming, Yunnan Province, China in the north and ends at Vientiane, the capital of Laos in the south. The whole line adopts Chinese technical standards and consists of Kunyu Section, Yumo Section and Boten Section. The mileage of the line is 400 km, the proportion of bridges and tunnels is 62.6%, and the design speed is 160 km/h. Usually, the travel time from Vientiane to Boten is only 3 hours.
